Peaches is hitting the road for the first time in years to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her album The Teaches of Peaches. The first album released under her stage name, released on September 5, 2000.
Peaches announced via Twitter that she was “wildly excited” to celebrate 20 years of the album with a tour in North America, Europe, and the U.K. “It’s been frustrating to abstain from touring the past two years, and now I’m so ready for us to ‘Fuck the Pain Away’ together,” says in the post.
Even though Peaches hasn’t reached mainstream levels of fame, the influence of her music can be found in the pop music and movies of the 2000s, such as the movie Mean Girls.
The album has a message of sexuality expression, which was intentional, according to an interview with Them. In 2020, Peaches had a message that was “a culmination of growing up with all this super misogynist male-gaze music that had no bearing on my life and my queerness or who I wanted to be—a strong and sexual energetic person.”
“This is so feminist. This is the angriest shit. This is the funniest shit. This is too funny. This is too angry. This is a perfect balance. This is performance art. This is real rock ‘n’ roll,” says Peaches referring to the album.
“We’re going to fuck the pain away, I sure hope so,” she says. “Safely and respectfully fuck the pain away.”
The album has received favorable reviews; it was included in The Guardian’s 100 Best Albums of the 21st Century list and has a score of 73 out of 100 on the review website Metacritic.

The first concert will take place in Seattle on May 16 and head to venues across the US, UK, and Europe, finishing up in Brussels on June 21. The poster also announces Special Guests for the concerts.
The presale of tickets started on Tuesday, February 1 and the general sale Friday, February 4. Tickets for the U.S. can be found at the Ticketmaster website.
