Cimera’s rooftop drag brunch returned July 25 with a new theme, a rotating lineup of performers, and plenty of Beyoncé. This month’s Brunch the World transformed the rooftop at The Source Hotel into a celebration of Queen Bey, with performances inspired by music spanning from Destiny’s Child to Cowboy Carter.
Hosted by Felony Misdemeanor, the afternoon featured Michelle B., Chanel B., and Amerikah J., with DJ The Kid Frankie providing the soundtrack. Guests filled the rooftop for brunch, cocktails, and performances overlooking the Denver skyline as each queen brought their own take on Beyoncé’s catalog to the floor.
With doors opening an hour before the show, guests had time to settle in with brunch and cocktails before Beyoncé took over the rooftop. Among the many delectable options was Cimera’s Tres Leches French Toast, topped with fruit compote and mascarpone whip, while colorful cocktails offered a refreshing pairing before the afternoon’s performances began.

As guests settled into their meals, so too did the show begin. Host Felony Misdemeanor warmed up the crowd by putting their Beyoncé knowledge and dedication to the test, asking how many had seen Queen Bey live in concert. Hands stayed raised as Felony worked through the numbers, eventually revealing one dedicated member of the BeyHive who had seen Beyoncé perform five times.
With the BeyHive officially accounted for, it was time for the queens to take over.
The first round of performances brought Amerikah J., Chanel B., and Michelle B. into the crowd, each bringing a different style to the Beyoncé-themed afternoon.
Amerikah J. leaned heavily into the humor of “Irreplaceable,” arriving with a cardboard box filled with an assortment of unexpected props. As she moved between tables, she pulled items from the box and handed them to unsuspecting guests, turning the song’s familiar breakup anthem into an interactive comedy routine. Even Beyoncé’s famous “to the left” refrain became part of the joke, as Amerikah paused to form an “L” with her hands.
Chanel B. followed with a playful performance of her own, while Michelle B. shifted the mood with an elegant, dramatic number. Beginning in a flowing floor-length gown, Michelle transformed the performance with a costume reveal, shedding the dramatic look for a sparkling purple bodysuit underneath.

The wardrobe change was only the beginning. With the gown gone, Michelle B. kicked the energy up, dropping into a full split between the tables before rising to continue through the crowd. With tips in hand and guests cheering along, the dramatic number quickly became a shared moment between performer and audience.

Returning for another round, Amerikah J. stepped back into the crowd with a fresh look and another surprise underneath. The new costume didn’t last long before she pulled it away to reveal a second look, keeping the transformations going as the afternoon continued. Between the reveals and high-energy performances, there was still plenty of room for playfulness. Amerikah stopped among the tables to joke with guests, quickly turning one raised hand into a room full of them. Smiles spread across the tables as the interaction grew, capturing the easygoing energy the queens carried throughout the afternoon.

Chanel B. returned in a striking yellow look, slowing things down with a more elegant performance as she moved between the tables. After an afternoon filled with costume reveals, comedy, and high-energy numbers, the softer moment offered another change of pace before one final surprise.
For the last act, host Felony Misdemeanor traded the microphone for the spotlight. After guiding the crowd through the afternoon’s performances, Felony stepped out in a dramatic black floor-length gown, bringing the Beyoncé celebration to a close with a performance of her own.

Beyond the costume reveals, dramatic performances, and Beyoncé hits, some of the afternoon’s most memorable moments happened in the spaces between. Each queen brought an easygoing warmth to their interactions with guests, turning tips, jokes, raised hands, and quick exchanges at the tables into moments that felt just as much a part of the show as the performances themselves. For longtime drag fans and first-time guests alike, Brunch the World offered the chance not only to watch a show, but to become part of it and perhaps leave with a new memory of their own.
Cimera’s rooftop drag brunch will return, continuing the rotating themes and performers that make each edition a little different from the last. As the Beyoncé celebration wound down, Felony Misdemeanor even teased what could come next: a Rihanna-themed brunch. While the next theme has yet to be confirmed, the hint gave guests one more reason to keep an eye on what’s coming to the rooftop.
For now, Brunch the World belonged to Beyoncé and to the four queens who brought her music to life high above Denver.
