People’s March NoCo Coming this Weekend

We all come together for different reasons, but we share a common goal: to protect our rights and shape a better future. On Saturday, January 18, Peoples March, formally known as Women’s March, is happening in Fort Collins starting at Old Towns Square. The People’s March is about one thing: our power. It’s a bold demonstration of the resilience of resistance

The People’s March NoCo is led by a dedicated team of three organizers—Danielle Repasky, Angela McMillan, and Kristine Majestic—in collaboration with NOCO NOW. As part of a national movement, the march is committed to championing reproductive rights, healthcare access, LGBTQ+ equality, immigrant justice, economic equity, and more. This event aspires to be a powerful day of unity, action, and community empowerment.

The rally will feature inspiring speakers from prominent organizations, including:

    • Representative Andrew Boesenecker and Senator Janice Marchman joining together to speak on immigration, education, and the power of local action for justice and equity.
    • Working Families Party will be advocating for economic justice, worker rights, and policies that benefit working-class families.
    • The Rainbow Circles will share their work to create safe, inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ communities.
    • Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition will be speaking to the critical need for immigration reform and immigrant justice.
    • Alianza NorCo, amplifies the voices of marginalized communities and fights for systemic change.
    • Splash is a youth-focused organization supporting queer and transgender youth in Northern Colorado.
    • Elected officials will be in attendance as advocates of the event: Senator Cathy Kipp, Representative Yara Zokaie, Larimer County Commissioner Kristin Stephens, and Larimer County Commissioner Jody Shadduck-McNally.

“This march is about coming together as a community to stand for our shared values and create a future where everyone’s rights are protected,” says Danielle Repasky. “We’re thrilled to have such incredible organizations and speakers join us to inspire action and hope.”
