The Brain Candy Podcast LIVE: Sarah & Susie’s SpOoOoOoOoktacular Spectacle at The O
Sarah Rice, MFT, and Susie Meister, PhD, who you might know from their appearance on MTV’s reality competition show The Challenge, also hosts the award-winning The Brain Candy Podcast. Twice a week, Rice and Meister break down captivating articles and books on science, literature, psychology, pop culture, and current events. With almost one thousand episodes, The Brain Candy Podcast aims to make listeners laugh hard and think smarter.
The duo will bring their podcast to Denver (Sarah’s hometown!) for a live “spooktacular” Halloween Eve event, with a special live trivia and cabaret show.
The Brain Candy Podcast LIVE: Sarah & Susie’s SpOoOoOoOoktacular Spectacle will take place at Denver’s historic O Theater on Thursday, October 30. This special Halloween-themed show encourages fans of pop culture, comedy, and all things nerdy to enjoy an evening of interactive trivia, hilarious commentary, and cabaret-style fun. The event is designed as a celebration of human connection, nerdy culture, and community.
Expanding on the established brilliance and humor that have earned their podcast a dedicated following, the live event will bring the hosts’ signature blend of intellectual curiosity and irreverent humor directly to a live Denver audience.
“We are so excited to bring our show to Denver, a city we know has a smart, engaged, and fun-loving audience,” says Susie Meister. “The O Theater has a fantastic reputation for independent comedy and performance, and we can’t wait to kick off the Halloween weekend with our listeners.”
“This show is for everyone who loves to learn and laugh at the same time,” adds Sarah Rice.
Lauded for its strong LGBTQ+ following, this women-led event is sure to be an inclusive and joyful pre-Halloween celebration. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best Halloween costumes, since prizes will be awarded for the most impressive ones. The evening will include a mix of comedy, audience games, trivia, and prizes, with a drag queen performance, and more!
All ages are welcome; a bar is available for attendees 21 years of age and above with a valid ID. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.; the show starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase through The O Theater’s website here.
