Meow Wolf Recertified as B Corporation, Reaffirms Focus on Community and Sustainability

In an effort to continue its focus on social and environmental responsibility, Meow Wolf recently announced that it successfully recertified as a B Corporation as of September 1.

A Certified B Corporation is a for-profit company that meets high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Their press release says the company’s recertification as a B Corporation highlights its devotion to creating experiences that are both purpose-driven and socially conscious.

“Meow Wolf’s recertification is a testament to our commitment to operating in a way that is responsible to our people, planet, and the communities we call home,” says Rebecca Campbell, Interim Chief Executive Officer. The years since our last recertification have been marked by significant growth. I am proud that through it all, we continue to adhere to our most deeply held values.”

On their website, Meow Wolf explains how B Corporations are required to undergo recertification every three years, which involves a comprehensive examination that requires in-depth examinations of five areas: community, environment, governance, workers, and customers. The entertainment venue’s B Corp certification put them among an elite class, as fewer than 10,000 companies worldwide are B Corp certified as of March 2025.

The company remains focused on continually reaching benchmarks in all categories by tracking energy use, emissions, and waste, and setting reduction targets. It maintains community ties by offering thousands of free tickets each year and awarding millions of dollars to local arts organizations. The company employs more than 900 people nationwide and provides comprehensive benefits, including transgender-inclusive healthcare, donation matching, volunteer incentives, participation in VOICE employee advocacy chapters, and access to the Meow Wolf Foundation’s SAVE Fund, which offers emergency financial assistance.

Meow Wolf’s diligence in providing a great customer experience by developing world-class safety measures and customer feedback loops and have expanded accessibility efforts, including certifying all locations as IBCCES Autism Centers.
