Bosco is coming to Denver!
The drag queen and two-time competitor on RuPaul’s Drag Race is bringing her The Marvelous Miss Gender tour to Denver on Saturday, August 8. After making top 5 status on the MTV reality series’ universe not once but twice, Bosco is now embarking on her biggest one-queen theatrical production to date.
The two-act musical comedy is reportedly inspired by Batman: The Animated Series, Kill Bill, Elvira, and Pee-Wee’s Playhouse and introduces Bosco’s villainous alter-ego, the one and only “Miss Gender.”
Presented by Murray & Peter, the 33-city tour marks Bosco’s first full-length solo touring show and blends the styles of comic book noir, burlesque, dance, high fashion, stand-up, and camp.
Adding to the excitement levels of Drag Race fans, Bosco’s opener will be none other than Irene the Alien who competed alongside Bosco in season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
“I am so excited and deeply grateful to be heading out on my first solo tour with The Marvelous Miss Gender! This show has been living in my notes app for years, and after spending so much time on the road performing, producing, and writing, the time has finally come to bring it to life, now that I have an incredible team behind me,” says Bosco, “Inspired by the gothic spectacle of 90’s Batman films, the technicolor chaos of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, and the glamour-ghoul camp of Elvira, we’ve blended my favorite pop culture touchstones to create a true theatrical production that drag audiences have never seen before. This show is also a love letter to physical media, analog theater, and the magic of practical effects—because people are craving something they can feel and touch, not just a general approximation spit out by a computer. The Marvelous Miss Gender feels like everything I’ve been building toward in my career, and I truly can’t wait to share it with you all.”
Built specifically for the theater, The Marvelous Miss Gender pulls from Bosco’s years of experience as a choreographer, dancer, director, and show-maker. The production features practical stage effects, giant props, hypnotizing video elements, forced perspective sets, artist-illustrated backdrops, and, of course, glamour.
The show is set to take place at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium, 1510 N Clarkson St, Denver, CO 80218.
Reserved seat tickets range from $45–$129. The VIP add-on package costs $99 and includes a special meet & greet with Bosco before the show.
This is an adult only event with tickets being restricted to viewers 18 and older.
Tickets are available at dragfans.com.
