Billie Eilish Announces Stunning Support Acts for U.K. Tour

Amy PhillipsBy Amy PhillipsAugust 20, 2021Updated:June 1, 20263 Mins Read
As Billie Eilish prepares to embark on her highly anticipated Happier Than Ever world tour, she’s given us yet another gift—a slew of stunning support acts for the U.K. leg of her trip! Joining Eilish on the British stage will be iconic queer performers Arlo Parks, and Girl in Red along with up and comers Jessie Reyez and band Jungle. The announcement not only adds these fabulous artists to the schedule, but an additional concert date in London on June 26, 2022. Eilish posted the new and improved roster to her Instagram page last week, captioning the image: “AHHHHHHHH I CANT WAIT ???????????? & I’M BRINGING MY FRIENDSSSS!!”

Eilish’s sophomore studio album Happier Than Ever dropped July 30 and became an instant hit with listeners and critics alike. “Billie still sounds like no one else … transfixing” the Evening Standard writes, giving the album a full five stars. “Happier Than Ever’ fully establishes Billie Eilish as one of her generation’s most significant pop artists—and, better still, does so without repeating a single trick from the debut that turned her life upside down,” NME adds. Fans of Eilish are ecstatic that they’ll get to see their favorite young pop star AND iconic U.K. and queer performers in the same sitting. Girl in Red has quickly become a staple artist of the women-loving-women community, even inspiring the question “do you listen to Girl in Red?” for LGBTQ women to identify each other.

Arlo Parks has also quickly risen to fame as a singer, poet, and bi powerhouse. Her debut album Collapsed in Sunbeams hit number three on the U.K. album charts, and now, the 20-year-old will be gracing the London stage alongside the world-renowned Eilish. She celebrated her and Eilish’s collab in an Instagram post, saying: “Billie you are an artist, a shapeshifter n a sweetheart – your star is dazzling!! Thank you so much for the opportunity to share your stage in front of 20,000 people – I cannot wait to be RIPPING IT UP WITH YOU ????????????”

Canadian singer Jessie Reyez is beyond excited to be joining Eilish for multiple shows on her U.K. tour. Reyez was recently featured on the track for the new Suicide Squad film and walked the red carpet with song partner Grandson. The movie’s famous director, Tim Gunn, greeted Reyez and Grandson with a warm hug, telling reporters that the two artists were some of his very “favorites” in the music world today.

U.K.-based, electronic band Jungle will also play alongside Eilish at shows in London, Manchester, and Dublin. The two-man group just recently dropped their third studio album Loving in Stereo, which hit number two in the U.K. just days after its release.
