Man Rants About being ‘Radiated’ and ‘Cooked’ by Queers on New Jersey Flight
A man on a flight to New Jersey via Sun Country Airlines cut it short with a boisterous rant about how the LGBTQ+ community gave him “cancer.”
The Sun Country Airlines flight left Minneapolis for Newark on Friday morning at approximately 7:13 a.m. Unfortunately, it went no further than Chicago O’Hare International Airport after the man screamed, “The plane is going down.”
Leading up to the initial scream, Seth Evans, a passenger on the same flight who sat across from the homophobe, told the Minnesota Tribune that it all started when the plane took off. The maniac complained about being “gang chased” by queer people, even adding how they were “radiating” and “cooking” him, which some interpreted to mean that he thinks queer people are radioactive.
The homophobe wore “no less than 15 masks,” according to Evans, and continued the screams with a “Trump is here.” Yes, the red is strong with this one, and all of this also happened while he plays a mobile video game calmly.
The plane diverted to Chicago O’Hare International Airport, where the Chicago Police swiftly arrested the individual before Sun Country Airlines could complete the flight to Newark as originally planned.
Sun Country Airlines issued a statement soon after to the Minnesota Tribune, stating:
“The flight landed without incident, and the passenger in question was turned over to law enforcement and removed from the aircraft. We appreciate our passengers’ patience during the interruption to their travels.”
The LGBTQ+ community, our community, does radiate and cook—not in the way the person in question describes, though. Rather, our community radiates positivity and cooks up ways to promote equality and justice for what’s right. We also share stories that shed light on the scary and unsettling parts of our community, such as this one.
Safe travels, everyone. Don’t let the turbulence stop you and your gay flight!
