Jeremy Zachary and His Impact on the Cannabis World

Jeremy Zachary is an unmatched, creative entrepreneur with a future-focused vision in the business and cannabis world. His story is one of chasing opportunity and filling the needs of both people and industry.

Zachary’s talents for marketing and media carried his career through the 1990s, where he worked as a Calendar Director at OC Weekly, notably launching the department past seven digits in revenue. At this time, he also founded a publication called Inland Empire Weekly.

In 2009, Zachary launched Culture Magazine. It began with a focus on medical cannabis, as his father was fighting cancer. Zachary viewed this as a chance to educate and inform society about the benefits of cannabis, breaking through the longstanding narrative that it’s nothing more than a dangerous street drug.

Culture Magazine started in Los Angeles and subsequently spread to other forward-thinking states, including Colorado. Within three years, it became the top cannabis lifestyle magazine in the world. Monthly, about a quarter of a million copies are published and are read by 1.2 million people across the globe.

One of Zachary’s most successful ventures after the booming success of Culture Magazine is Zen Cannabis, a highly regarded company which specializes in edibles that was founded in 2019. Zen was highlighted in our June review of cannabis products; more specifically, their vegan 100mg chocolate bar (which is still very much recommended!)

However, Zen is more than just another cannabis company—They have a well-defined mission to “make the therapeutic benefits of cannabis accessible to all by offering premium-quality edibles at a value price point.” Accessibility to safe, quality cannabis is still very much a privilege in this country, so Zachary’s mission is one of nobility.

As a whole,  Zachary has had a robust career in marketing, media, and the realm of cannabis. When he is able to, he loves to travel and visit ancient castles with his wife and daughter.
