31-Year-Old Gay Man Deundray Dominique Cottrell Found Dead on July 4
In a tragic turn of events during a Fourth of July visit to Birmingham, Alabama, Deundray Dominique Cottrell, a 31-year-old gay man from Atlanta, Georgia, was found dead after being reported missing by his sister, Angelica Harris. Cottrell had traveled to Birmingham with his boyfriend, Julian Morris, to celebrate the holiday, but the festivities quickly turned into a nightmare.
The evening started with fireworks and celebration but took a somber turn when Cottrell went to check on his dog and never returned. Surveillance footage captured him sprinting through yards and jumping over gates in the area. Later, his shoe and cell phone were discovered in a nearby backyard, deepening the mystery of his disappearance.
Morris, identified as the main suspect in the investigation by Birmingham police, told authorities that Cottrell had started running through the backyard.
