Club Q Community Support from The Center and Beyond
On Saturday, tragedy struck as a gunman entered Club Q and began shooting. Many of us know the victims and are hurting. This has shaken us all. This senseless violence is unforgivable, and our hearts go out to those who were harmed and killed.
In these trying times, The Center have resources for those of us who need them. They, too, are shocked and saddened by the mass murder that happened on Saturday evening. The Colorado Healing Fund is raising money to help the victim’s families in the aftermath. Donations are being collected here. Proceeds go directly to the families of those killed or injured in the shooting on Saturday.
As well as the candlelight vigil that was held in remembrance of those lost on November 21, a spreadsheet containing more events, such as Club Q support posters, drag, karaoke, and bingo, with all proceeds being donated to Club Q, and another vigil being held on November 28, are available in a spreadsheet that can be accessed here. The vigils, fundraisers, and supports will be held virtually or in Boulder, Colorado, Estes Park, or Denver. More details are available on the spreadsheet.
Therapists are offering support without charge as well for anyone affected by this tragedy. Their details can be seen here. Feel free to reach out to get help, support, or just someone to talk to regarding this tragedy. You are not a burden and no one will judge you for getting help.
Many of us knew those who were harmed or killed in the mass murder. Many of us have been to Club Q in the past, viewing it as a safe space. The losses and suffering of the victims and the families of the victims are immeasurable. Please continue to support the victims and Club Q in these difficult times.
