Women Who Rock the Rockies Set for June 15
Set the calendars for June 15 and get ready to groove at Women Who Rock the Rockies (WWRR) at the Wild Goose Saloon in Parker, Colorado. Doors are set to open at 2pm and the event runs until 11pm.
The event is made in partnership with KBCO and is sure to offer beats that will resonate with all guests. The WWRR sold out tickets in the past two years, so make sure to grab your tickets as soon as possible.
The event will include vendors, indoor and outdoor stages, and a total of nine bands. WWRR invites “talented local and national female artists to unleash their magic, providing them with well-deserved recognition and appreciation,”
More than just a event packed with music, Women Who Rock the Rockies is hailed as “a celebration of the incredible talent and diversity within Colorado’s music scene. By giving women a platform to showcase their skills and voices, we’re not just transforming the music landscape but also fostering a sense of community and empowerment like never before.”
BETTY is set to headline the event, and the indie-trio is sure to capture audiences with their unique sound. The trio recorded the opening theme song in the original L Word (which has recently been rebooted). Their music is described as “beguiling melodies, compelling lyrics and signature harmonies to create energetic live shows that mix music, performance art, politics and comedy.”
Other performers include Peaches Embry and Rhythm Train, Racyne Parker, Amy Martin, Bonnie & the Mere Mortals, Mojomama, Queen Bees, MZ Vendetta, and Dear Marsha,.
As an extra bonus, a portion of proceeds will go to Girls Rock Denver, a non-profit that aims to “empower girls and gender expansive youth through music education, creation, performance and community, working to put instruments in their hands to unveil what they already possess in their feet, fingertips, vocal cords, hearts and minds.”
Tickets can be purchased here and more information can be found at WWRR’s website.
