Welcome to the new OutFrontColorado.com

Hello, and welcome to the new OutFrontColorado.com.

We hope you’ll enjoy your visit and you’ll stay awhile.

A team of hard working professionals have spent countless hours during the last three months to bring you a new destination for LGBT news. We hope you’ll agree, the fruits of their labor have paid off.

Previous versions of OutFrontColorado.com, the online counterpart to Out Front Colorado (one of the nation’s oldest LGBT publications), have been flat and static. Disjointed. Yes, there have been blogs. But the main hub of the website – the heart – beat slowly, every two weeks.

That changes today.

Now, OutFrontColorado.com will feature daily updates from news around the world, and your own backyard. Thanks to new –well, new to us – technology, we’ll be able to reproduce and update stories from our print product 24/7. For years, OFC has been a member of the Associated Press. In the ’90s, the pages were filled with wire copy. Now, with a re-dedication to local news first, we’ll be able to supplement that content with breaking news from hundreds of news organizations all sharing with one another via the AP.

We’ll also be updating our site regularly with news and entertainment coverage from one of the leading providers of national and international LGBT news, QSyndicate.

And yes, there will be blogs – three to be exact.

We’ll be following big stories with national importance as they happen at OFC Now. The latest celebrity gossip and local theater reviews you’ll find on Out and About. And need a daily dose of hotness? Check out XChange (adults only!).

The news business has radically changed in the last three years. Instead of passing portions of your newspaper or favorite magazine to a friend at a coffee shop, you’re Tweeting and Facebooking one another with the latest. And we hope our new website will make it easier for you to do so. There are now three ways to share Out Front content you find interesting with your Facebook friends and several other options to share on whatever social networking platform you fancy.

Our favorite is the integrated Facebook comments. Go ahead, like the post and then tell us – and your friends – what you think.

Like building a new home (or at the least, redecorating) you run into some hiccups. And there will be some bumps in the road as we make the full conversion to our new surroundings.

Please bear with us. But don’t be afraid to let us know if something is wrong. Send me an email to nic@outfrontcolorado.com with any tips, suggestions or broken links.

Thanks again for visiting OutFrontColorado.com.
