Welcome to OutFrontOnline.com

Welcome to the new online home for Out Front.

After several months of planning, and several hours of sweating bullets, our home is — mostly complete. And we’re ready to welcome you in.

So, what’s new?

First the URL. OutFrontColorado.com no longer exists. Well, it does, but if you type it in to your Web browser or click on an old link, it will bring you right here: OutFrontMagazine.com. OutFrontColorado.com severed us well over the years. But, as you know, we have new owners. And they have big plans. The old URL didn’t fit those plans. During the next several weeks, months and years, those plans will unfold and you’ll see why we had to update our Website.

You’ve probably noticed we have a new look as well. While there was nothing fundamentally wrong with our previous design, our new theme and design — expertly created by Drew Jaynes and Kris Lagraff is not only cleaner and easier to read, but it’s responsive. What that means is that no matter what type of machine — desktop, tablet or mobile — you’re reading — Out Front on, it will work and scale to fit.

Additionally, Out Front’s new website is better organized and mirrors our print publication. If you haven’t picked up your own copy of Out Front’s special PrideFest issue, you need to right away. Not only is it full of amazing features like our cover story on body image, an introduction to PrideFest and The Center,  interviews with most of the headliners and celebrities coming to Denver (like Kristine W), but it also sports its own redesign. The print product and our online home are perfect companions.

Finally, we’re excited to announce three big changes and improvements for our website.

First, a new home for galleries. We know our galleries, produced by Charles Broshous, are one of the most popular features on our website. Thousands of you search for yourselves and your friends each month. So, we’ve created a page for them on our home page. Second: one of the most important roles Out Front can serve for the community is what old school journalists call “the record keeping function.”

For a daily newspaper like my hometown rag, The Pueblo Chieftain, that meant chronicling everything from life milestones to what votes the school board took late Tuesday night. For us, it means keeping an ongoing tally on movers and shakers, big issues like civil unions and information about bars and nonprofits. So, we’ve created topic pages. While, they’re not ready to debut yet, we’re sure you’re going to find them an important backbone to our website.

Finally, in the coming weeks, Out Front will unveil a brand new master calendar for the community. With so many groups, organizations and parties, one can hardly keep it straight. And as awesome as Facebook is, sometimes it’s difficult to keep on top of things. So, we’ve found one of the best platforms on the Web, are adopting it and making it free for all of you.

If that wasn’t enough, there is even more to come. But you’re going to have bookmark our home page and keep checking back for all the new features as they launch.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please email me at nic@outfrontonline.com.

P.S. With every new website a few bugs are bound to pop up from time to time. So, please, as our hot construction friends say, “pardon our dust.”
