WATCH: Students react to being called beautiful

It’s always nice to be on the receiving end of a compliment. Being told that we are pretty, hot, handsome, cute, adorable, gorgeous, or sexy is always a confidence booster. But there is one word, that tugs at our heart strings. One compliment so flattering, that when we hear it, it takes us by surprise. Being called beautiful is on a level all its own.

It’s also something we don’t hear very often. And while your grandma still counts, hearing those words from a total stranger is the most amazing feeling in the world. Not kidding.

Shea Glover, a high school student in Chicago, set out to pay people this very compliment and see their reaction. She put their reactions into a video, and shared it with the world. The video is beautiful, as are the people in it.
