WATCH: Britney Spears and James Corden ride around LA in Carpool Karaoke

The iconic pop princess Britney Spears jumped in the adorable James Corden’s car in a long anticipated Carpool Karaoke last night. Unlike the other jam sessions with James Corden where the artists show us their incredible vocal range and wit, Britney’s passenger seat vocals barely squeak through her perfect, white teeth. Honestly, it’s like watching an overly excited gay boy jamming out with his best squirrel friend on the way to a Britney concert — and it is perfection.

Let’s start by saying that Britney is a gay icon, not for her voice, but for her total domination of pop during the turn of the century, her very public breakdown, and determination to stay in the game. I mean, she just came out with a ninth album, Glory, which is already being credited as yet another comeback. And speaking as a young queer whose first CD was her debut album and first concert was seeing her during the Oops!… I Did It Again tour, I don’t care if Britney whispers — or lip syncs — for the entire 10 minute video. Britney is an icon. Respect her.

In the newest edition of Carpool Karaoke James and Britney jam out to Oops!… I Did It Again, Womanizer, Toxic, and her latest single, Make Me. Oh yeah, the duo also sport schoolgirl outfits and sing along to her first single Baby One More Time.

Side note: Have you ever seen anything cuter than James Corden in a crop top and pigtails? I haven’t…

Britney revealed she’d like to have three more children, although she has to “find the right guy first.” She says she’s “done with men” and doesn’t believe in marriage anymore, though she doesn’t leave out the possibility of French kissing a guy again someday.
