Vatican Releases Pro-LGBT Language, Retracts Statements

The Vatican recently released the latest version of their report of the Synod on the Family. A Synod is a religious council, usually convened to discuss doctrine. The report is called “Relatio post disceptationem” and a draft was first released with pro-LGBT language. This included a statement telling Catholics to be “welcoming of homosexual persons.” This was an unheard of statement of acceptance from the Catholic church which drew ire from many conservative Bishops.

The uproar mainly came from America and Africa, causing the language to be changed in edits for the English version.

But the Italian version (which is the official Vatican document) remains unchanged:

The French and Spanish versions also have language encouraging the welcoming of homosexuals:
