Trump snags New Hampshire & says same-sex marriage is dividing America
Trump is at it again, and while it gives us plenty to talk about rather than his hair that always seems to be photoshopped onto his head, we are tired of typing out his name without giving any form of real substance in these stories.
The times when we thought his platform, whatever that may be, would dissolve into the race are over. Trump is now a top contender in our presidential race, and last night’s New Hampshire primary is the perfect example. Trump walked away the victor with 10 delegates and 35.5 percent of the votes.
We want to congratulate him, but we aren’t going to. Donald Trump is a very dangerous man at this point. A dangerous man, who is feeding media anything they want to make him appealing to to the masses, and while it seems to be working on some, those of us with a memory, a brain, or even a little bit of common sense know that if this man takes the office we are fucked.
For example, just last week trump claimed that he would be “a champion for gay rights,” but on Sunday the GOP presidential frontrunner is doubling down on his earlier promise to “strongly consider” appointing Supreme Court justices who would work to overturn marriage equality.
Asked by George Stephanopoulos during an ABC News interview to clarify his seemingly contradictory comments on Sunday, Trump pulled out his classic “I’m going to bring the country together” narrative.
Still promising to appoint conservative SCOTUS judges (“and then we’ll see how they vote,” he said), Trump clarified that he’d “prefer that they stand against” marriage equality.
“There’s a lot of people that want to see that,” he said. “This country is so totally divided, it’s probably almost never been as divided as it is right now, and we have to bring it together.”
“Look, George, very simple. We’re going to bring our country together. We’re going to unify our country. We’re going to do whatever we have to do. I’m gong to put the absolute best judges in position. If their views, we’re going to see what their views are, I will make the determination at that time.”

We thought he would fizzle out when he took a dramatic stance on immigrants in this country. We thought his hair would stop attacking our TV screens when he fear mongered people into being scared of Syrian refugees. We definitely thought people would run scared when he released his frightening theme song. None of these things happened.
In fact, his fan base is growing. And while I may have dragged Trump’s hair through the dirt a bit, we can’t forget that this man is a serious contender for president, and his only platform seems to be to “unite America.” Unite us by deporting millions, refusing to help those that need it, send us queers back in the closet, and ignore the blatant racism and discrimination against black people.
A vote for Trump is a vote for a a rich, white, straight, man who can’t see beyond his own identifiers.
