Transformative Freedom Fund Announces Fifth Annual Fundraising Event

In their continued mission to support the authentic selves of transgender Coloradans by removing financial barriers to transition related to healthcare, the Transformative Freedom Fund has announced their fifth annual fundraising event, “Opening Doors to Authenticity,” taking place April 28.

The fund was created in 2017 and reiterates their mission in a press release, “We believe that all people deserve to live life as their authentic selves, and we invite you to be our partner in ensuring this opportunity for transgender people across Colorado.”

It will be its first in-person event for the fund since 2019, at Space Gallery Annex in Denver. Expect entertainment, drinks, food, special guests, and a silent auction, all with aims to fundraise and provide trans Coloradans with gender-affirming and life-saving medical care.

In its first four cycles, the Transformative Freedom Fund funded nearly $150,000 worth of transition-related care for 53 individuals. It took much of 2020 and 2021 off from fundraising to direct its donors to organizations providing emergency, COVID-related support to the community, along with organizations advancing racial equity and justice. It notes in the release that, with that in mind, this year’s fundraiser is more important than ever in helping the fund reach its goal to fund another $50,000 in its fifth cycle.

“To reach that goal, we need support from partners like you,” the release reads.

In addition, the Transformative Freedom Fund has sponsorship opportunities available, ranging from the Sparkle Sponsor package ($250), the Fierce Ally Sponsor package ($500), the YAS! Queen Sponsor package ($1,000), the Rainbow Sponsor package ($2,500) the Glitter Bomb Sponsor package ($5,000) to the Unicorn Sponsor package ($10,000).

Each package comes with its own perks, including social media marketing and event marketing, which helps to promote sponsors while still centering the aim of giving back to the community.
