Tituss Burgess Releases Danny Verde Remix to Dance M.F.
Tituss Burgess is quickly emerging as one of the entertainment industry’s most versatile and dynamic performers, with his work in television, film, and theatre generating both critical and commercial acclaim. “Dance M.F. was born out of the panic I felt at the onset of the global crisis that has all of us in isolation. It was written for me—until I realized I wasn’t the only one that needed to hear it,” says Burgess.
The track features vocals by Imani Coppola and was co-written by Tituss Burgess, Imani Coppola, and Daniel Edinberg and produced by Daniel Edinberg, Michael Mangini, and Tituss Burgess.
In regards to the song, Burgess said In a recent interview with OUT FRONT, “People have been tweeting at me and sending DMs of them dancing to it and such. I sort of throw things out in the world and try not too hard to pay attention to how well they are doing because I don’t want the space in between—the space that I can’t govern or control, to begin to influence how I felt making it and influence why I made it, to sort of alter the energy that I put into constructing it.”
He continued saying, “So, I put it out there, and people who need it, hopefully they find it, and it serves them. I am already drumming up something else to give to the public because we need fun things to take our minds off of what’s really going on.”

Burgess was first introduced to television audiences in Tina Fey’s NBC series 30 Rock, where he quickly became a breakout star in the series’ fifth and sixth seasons. He went on to star as the indelible character of Titus Andromedon in the comedy series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
Over the course of the series’ four seasons, Burgess received high honor, including being nominated for four Emmys.
