The Queens of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK Versus the World’

Drag Race

Hope you saved room for more RuPaul’s Drag Race because a global battle is about to begin!

In December, World of Wonder announced the new series, RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK Versus the World, which will feature nine sickening performers from different Drag Race franchises around the world competing to be crowned the first-ever global drag superstar.

“In a global first, RuPaul takes Drag Race UK to the next level as he opens up the battle to Drag Race queens from around the world,” reads the show’s official description. “With the UK as host nation, the series will see iconic queens from different franchises and cultures competing in an international arena, showcasing their country’s finest drag.”

Michelle Visage and Drag Race UK regulars Alan Carr and Graham Norton are set to preside over the competition alongside RuPaul, with help from guest judges Melanie C, Jade Thirlwall, Clara Amfo, Daisy May Cooper, Jonathan Bailey, and Michelle Keegan. Johannes Radebe and Katie Price will make special appearances throughout the season.

RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK Versus the World premieres Tuesday, February 1 at 4:00 p.m. ET on WOW Presents Plus. As for who is sashaying down the international runway, the cast for this widely-anticipated first season has officially been ru-vealed. The queens competing in this ultimate crossover event include:

Baga Chipz : UK Season 1

Baga Chipz

Memorably competing on the inaugural season of Drag Race UK, Baga became the first queen in herstory to win three maxi-challenges in five episodes. She ultimately placed third behind Divina De Campo and The Vivienne, but became an instant favorite due to her “common as muck” sense of humor, one-liners (“much betta!”) and iconic performance as Margaret Thatcher in Snatch Game.

Blu Hydrangea : UK Season 1

Blu Hydrangea

Northern Irish queen Blu Hydrangea shattered pre-conceived notions of her charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent on Drag Race UK Season 1. As a self-proclaimed Instagram queen, fans expected Blu to serve looks and not much else. While she killed the runway with her to-die-for mug and quirky fashion, Blu proved her skills as an entertainer with her now-iconic “Break Up Bye Bye” performance and bonkers ‘Dirty Mary Berry’ impersonation on Snatch Game.

Cheryl Hole : UK Season 1

Cheryl Hole

Although the Essex diva sashayed away in fourth place on Drag Race UK Season 1, she failed to land a single maxi-challenge win over the course of the series. As one of the most meme-able queens in herstory who is a pro at giving mediocre, Cheryl is guaranteed to make gag-worthy television. She is also a formidable lip syncer and girlgroup pop princess, so we have no doubt she will give us a show.

Janey Jacké : Holland Season 1

Janey Jacke

Representing the first season of Drag Race Holland, Janey Jacké is hungry for the crown! She placed runner-up behind Envy Peru and is known for her runways, comedic timing, and sharp wit. She is bound to break stereotypes of what people think of the Netherlands.

Jimbo : Canada Season 1

Jimbo

Canada’s Drag Race icon Jimbo is back to compete, and fans could not be happier. As one of the most championed contestants, she cemented her status as one of the franchise’s supreme comedians with her performances in the Heritage short film, law-firm commercial, and Snatch Game impersonation of Joan Rivers. The uniqueness is real.

Jujubee : USA Season 2, All Stars 1, All Stars 5

Jujubee

Back, back, back again for another shot at the crown, Jujubee is set to make Drag Race herstory as the first queen to compete on three different seasons of All Stars. The fan favorite made her first appearance in Season 2, where she became the franchise’s first-ever lip sync assassin. After landing in third place, she made her comeback for the first season of All Stars as part of a duo with her gal pal, Raven, and returned to compete again for All Stars 5 where a new generation of fans were introduced to her fierceness. Maybe fourth time’s the charm?

Lemon : Canada Season 1

Lemon

Flips, high-kicks and, handstands into the splits—Lemon can do it all. Originally coming in as a dancing queen, she truly impressed the judges and viewers after dominating all the comedy challenges on the first season of Canada’s Drag Race. Her Snatch Game performance of YouTube personality Jojo Siwa and transformation into spoiled beauty pageant contestant Miss Fitts was killer.

Mo Heart : USA Season 10, All Stars 4

Mo Heart

Formerly known as Monique Heart, this drag superstar is one of Drag Race’s most iconic confessional queens who will always deliver brown cow stunning. Her time on Season 10 may have been short lived, but she slayed the competition in All Stars 4. Will we see a winner once she sashays back into the werkroom?

Pangina Heals : Host of Drag Race Thailand Seasons 1 and 2

Pangina Heals

Pangina Heals is making herstory as the only queen to come to an All Stars season who has never competed before. Instead, she is the host of Drag Race Thailand. All eyes will be on Pangina to deliver the charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent she’s critiqued the Thailand contestants for over the years. She considers herself an Asian chameleon who can sing, dance, and act, but to us, she is a dark horse we cannot wait to see.
