Icons alert! The Teletubby squad Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po are embracing their titles as queer icons. They just announced the exciting launch of their first ever Pride collection. Fans rejoice as the Teletubbies are showing off their rainbow colors. The children’s show originally aired from the 1900s to 2001 leaving the fan base now mostly adults. This limited edition quirky collection is inspired by 90’s streetwear fashion.
Chief Brands Officer Michel Riley of Wildbrain, the owner of Teletubbies says, “The Teletubbies have always embraced their own offbeat quirkiness and sense of style,” adding, “This Pride Month, we’re celebrating that ‘love who you are’ spirit through our collection of ready-to-rave fashion that makes Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po very proud. We’ve taken the most iconic elements fans know and love about the Teletubbies and designed a playful collection with fashion flair that we hope fans will love to wear this Pride Month and all year-long.”
This collection will have you dripping in nostalgia; the theme is “Big Hugs, Big Love” and “Teletubbies Love Pride.” With rainbow-colored graphics and designs with the signature, antenna shapes, these pieces include reversible bucket hat, fanny pack, shorts, socks, masks, pins, a custom, made-to-order two-piece suit, and a few different styles of shirt options.
