Finding the right clothes can be a nightmare. You aren’t sure what colors work, what matches what or if a certain shape suits you. We’ve all had fashion insecurities and wished we had a personal shopper or assistant to ensure we were making the right decisions. We’ll now there are plenty of subscription services that do just that. The most famous is Trunk Club, outfitting men with stylish threads for the past few years. While Trunk Club might be the most talked about, it’s far from cheap. So here are some alternatives that will having you looking rich without draining your bank account.
FOR MEN
Frank & Oak
Frank & Oak works a little differently than Trunk Club and is cheaper, since they make all their products in house. You pay to get a brochure every month full of clothing ideas you might like. Pick five for a small fee.
Five Four Club
Five Four Club is great because there are no extra fees. The $60 a month is all you pay. They don’t send you a ton each month, but the items are worth up to $120 so you’re getting a deal. Plus, coming home each month to find a box of stylish clothes tailored to you is a pretty great feeling.
Men’s Style Lab
Men’s Style Lab is pretty similar to Trunk Club. You meet with a stylist virtually, they send you clothes, you keep what you like. It’s not fancy, but it’s way easier than taking selfies in a dressing room and sending them to your friends to see if basil green works with your eye color.
FOR WOMEN
Stitch Fix
Men have it easy. Pants, button downs, maybe a tie. But for women it’s a whole different world of patterns and shapes and accessories. With Stitch Fix, the nightmare is turned into a pleasant dream. You pay a $20 monthly “styling fee” which can go toward a purchase, you get five items a month, and you pay for and keep what you like. It’s that easy.
Le Tote
Le Tote markets itself as the Netflix of outfits and it’s brilliant. Need a formal outfit for that gallery party next week? Log on to Le Tote, make sure your monthly fee is paid, and pick out something you love. It arrives, you look stunning, and then you send it back for another outfit whenever you like. Granted, you don’t get to keep what you wear, but maybe having a closet full of clothes you’ve only worn once isn’t the best idea. This way, your style is always changing and you always look fabulous.
Style Me Perfect
Style Me Perfect puts a personal stylist on your computer. You can ask for fashion advice, they can put together outfits based on what you have in your closet, or send you a customized outfit. You’ll never have to think about what skirt goes with what heels again. Style Me Perfect has you covered. l
