Don’t just sanitize – shanitize!

Shangela Laquifa Wadley, the comeback queen known for “Halleloo-ing” her way down the runway on RuPaul’s Drag Race, has launched a brand new sanitizer line called Shanitizer.

Hand- and surface-friendly, Shanitizer makes reapplying sanitizer enjoyable.

Shanitizer comes in three unique scents: Hallelemon, a scent that smells like a fresh cup of lemongrass tea; ProFRESHional, a scent that smells like a clean blend of lush, line-dried linen and fresh open air; and SugarDaddy, a scent that smells like a sweet and airy swirl of strawberries and golden baked shortcake.

Making fabulous stocking stuffers for this holiday season, the sanitizers are sold individually, but also come in a three-pack bundle. That way, you can keep one at home, one in your car, and one with you at all times.Produced under the strict guidelines set forth by the World Health Organization, this 80 percent alcohol formula is available in 4oz. spray cap bottles.

A portion of Shanitizer proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit effort Feed the Queens. Founded by Shangela, Feed the Queens is a national initiative to galvanize support in the fight against food insecurity among drag queens, drag kings, and trans drag performers within the nightlife and performing arts communities.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, nightlife has essentially shut down. Therefore, opportunities and work for drag artists and nightlife entertainers have vanished. The cash flow of an entire workforce has halted. Performers survive on tips from eager crowds, and all without the guarantee of health insurance, consistent pay, and standard workplace protections.

The goal of Feed the Queens is to raise over $100,000 through online donations, corporate supports, and foundation grants. These funds will be used to distribute grocery gift cards to 1,000 or more applicants, with a designated portion of those funds allocated to performing persons of color.

This past week, Shangela announced that Feed the Queens is increasing the food grant amount from $100 to $400 gift cards.
