Sabrina Carpenter Announces Plan to Donate to Transgender Law Center

Grammy winning pop-star, Sabrina Carpenter announced that a portion of her tour’s profit will be donated to the Transgender Law Center (TLC). The TLC is the largest trans-led national organization that champions fighting for non-binary, trans, and gender non-conforming rights in the U.S.

According to The Pink News, this past week that the TLC became a beneficiary of the Sabrina Carpenter Fund. Set up in 2024, Carpenter’s nonprofit aims to raise money for mental health support and animal welfare. But a significant portion of the fund is devoted to LGBTQ+ advocacy—having donated to the charities Rainbow Railroad and the LGBT National Help Center.

With the second North American leg of her tour beginning, Carpenter chose a new group of charities to benefit from her fund, including the TLC.

A portion of the ticket proceeds for Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour will go towards this fund, and thus to the TLC. This tour has been wildly successful, and will assuredly draw in a lot of life-saving money for these organizations.

In response to this, TLC wrote on social media, “The Sabrina Carpenter Fund will directly support TLC’s Legal Information Helpdesk, which responds to more than 2,200 requests annually and the training of more than 400 trans leaders through programs like the Disability Project, Black Trans Circles, and Positively Trans – driving the Trans Agenda for Liberation forward.”

Carpenter has been a staunch advocate and ally of the LGBTQ+ community since her rise to stardom. Recently, she gained a lot of respect from the trans community after her VMAs performance. Her back-up dancers were an ensemble of drag queens and trans women holding signs plastered with pro-queer, pro-trans, and pro-drag queen slogans.

This past June, she raised over $1 million for the community, and in response states, “As Pride comes to a close, I want to send so much love to my LGBTQ+ fans,” adding, “You’ve always shown up for me, and I’m committed to showing up for you. Thank you for always uplifting me, making me laugh and showing how special it is to be authentically yourself.”
