Rhian! Drops Debut Single ‘I Need Your Love’
Fresh talent Rhian! drops his debut single ‘I Need Your Love’ ahead of his forthcoming EP The Real Rhian! scheduled for a first quarter release in 2023.
Rhian! is a London based singer/songwriter originally from Port of Spain, Trinidad and is an advocate within the LGBTQ community. He started singing in church with his family at the tender age of four where his father was the preacher. It wasn’t easy for Rhian! growing up with the pressure of concealing his sexuality in a religious home and society. As a teenager,s he performed regularly on the local scene before moving to the U.K.
Rhian! obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Performance and Production from the London Center of Contemporary Music. This multi-faceted talent joined the commercial gospel group Souls of Prophecy before becoming a regular performer at various events and venues in the heart of London and throughout the U.K.
He represented Trinidad at the 2012 World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles before embarking on an exciting adventure to Shanghai, China where he performed to sold-out audiences at The Pearl Theatre until 2019. During the pandemic, Rhian! returned to London, where he has been writing and recording material for his forthcoming EP and is making a name for himself with his electrifying live performances.
After sadly losing his mother to cancer earlier this year, Rhian! wants to share his personal journey with the world through his releases. “My story is one of overcoming and surviving. I believe that my music will inspire, motivate, and heal. Music has been my joy, my saving grace all of my life. Music is life!”
This June welcomed the arrival of his debut single ‘I Need Your Love’
“I Need Your Love” is a sassy, energetic runway-esque track from the artists’ forthcoming EP The Real Rhian! It peaked at Number 21 on the U.K. iTunes chart on the day of its release and is destined to get listeners moving. On August 12, he released a six-track EP of HOT dance remixes that rose to Number 4 on the U.K. iTunes Dance Albums Chart and Number 9 on the Apple Music Dance Albums in Trinidad and Tobago.
“I Need Your Love” is an energetic, pop-influenced anthem co-produced with Paramour. Pulsating bass lines fuse with nostalgic house melodies and bubbling synths for a perfect foundation, whilst Rhian!’s shimmering and captivating vocals add vital texture to this sun-drenched affair.
