The GLBT Center of Colorado announced today that many attendance records have been broken with this years Denver PrideFest. Not only is PrideFest The Center’s largest fundraiser, but it also creates an economic boost of the city and county of Denver with estimates of around a $25 million impact.
The total crowd attendance is approximately 365,000, up 40,000 from the original projections. The parade also shattered previous records with a total of 145 entries, a run time around 2 hours and 15 minutes, and approximately 140,000 spectators.
But that’s not all: vendor space for the festival sold out ten days earlier than ever before, with an increase of vendor applications by 10%. Sponsorships also broke records with 30 official signed to support The Center.
Proceeds from PrideFest benefit The GLBT Center of Colorado, which has locations in Denver and Ft. Collins, and provides statewide services to over 40,000 LGBT people in need.
