If you love to indulge yourself with para-social celebrity news and feel-good stories from time to time, then this is the one for you—Tan France is a daddy!
The Queer Eye TV personality couldn’t help himself but to show off his sweet new family on Instagram. The new father shared the adorable first photo with his family picturing himself, his husband Rob, and baby Ismail.
The touching post’s caption read “Give our son a warm welcome. Ismail France, born July 10th.He came 7 weeks early, so he’s been in the NICU for the past 3 weeks. But, today, we finally got to bring him home. We love him so, so much. Like, fully obsessed.” Continuing on “Our Surrogate is doing so great, post labor, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the greatest gift in our lives.”
This wasn’t the first time the star took to Instagram to gush over his baby and excitement over fatherhood. Back in April, France uploaded a cheeky pregnancy announcement that showed off his ultrasound.
The fashionista’s caption read, “So happy to finally share that WE’RE HAVING A BABY!! No, I’m not pregnant, despite this VERY realistic pic. With the greatest gift/help of the most wonderful surrogate, Rob and I are lucky enough to be on our way to being parents, this Summer. Something we’ve wanted for SOooo many years. Our hearts are so full right now. I cannot wait to hold this baby, and to show him so much love.”
Back in June, France said in an interview with People that his journey having a child was “quite a laborious process.” Selecting the surrogate was the easy part. The difficult aspect was when the search for a donor became complicated. “We really wanted to make sure that the person that we were working with was kind and was going to have the kind of traits that we were looking for in the world and that we look for in each other.”
France’s Queer Eye co-stars came into the chat to congratulate the daddy duo. Interior designer Bobby Berk says, “He is simply perfect and your growing little family gives me so much happiness and joy. Love you all so much and can’t wait to meet little Ismail.” The show’s cooking coach Antoni Porowski chimed in with: “Overjoyed for you tannay.”
OFM wishes the happy fathers good luck in parenthood with their cute growing family.
