Psychic Medium and Social Media Superstar Kelsi Davies

Kelsi Davies

After getting her start on YouTube as a content creator, Kelsi Davies was inspired by a friend to join TikTok and quickly made a name for herself on the platform.

Not only do her channels consist of acting skits and choreographed dances, but they are full of spooky paranormal content that will make any seasoned ghost hunter sleep with the lights on. Davies is a psychic medium who discovered her ability to connect with the other side at a young age. After a recent spiritual awakening, she made it her mission to unite loved ones with their deceased relatives and show her followers that not all spirits are evil or scary. Some of her most popular videos featured a haunted doll named Lola.

A proud member of the LGBTQ community who identifies as pansexual, Davies is a frequent collaborator with the popular PrideHouseLA TikTok collective. In addition to sharing her love for the paranormal, she hopes to create content that helps encourage and inspire individuals to embrace their true, authentic selves.

Davies is currently looking to do more work with entertainment and made her mark on the music world over the summer with her debut single, “Heartbeats.” Now available on all digital streaming platforms, the song details her journey of self-discovery and escaping a toxic relationship.

OFM caught up with Davies to talk more about her projects and the paranormal.

Can you begin by telling us more about the concept and inspiration behind “Heartbeats?”
I was in a very toxic relationship when I was around 19 years old, and this was, like, my first love. I was really lost because of it, and it damaged me a lot. So, I wanted to make a song for anyone who could relate to that. Anyone who has been through toxicity, whether it’s with family, friends, or someone who you thought you loved. He said a lot of things to me that should not have been said, and that have damaged me to this day.

I messaged Comanavago, they are two very talented artists from London, and they are amazing. They have been making all my songs. I messaged them and told them about my story, and I was like, I just really want to make this a positive thing in my life. It was my baggage, and I wanted to make light of it in some way. The song is basically about me getting out of that toxicity, finding my true authentic self, and just moving past it. I wanted to show everyone that you can get past it. You can get past that negativity if you don’t let it consume you.

How excited were you to release this song out into the world?
Oh my gosh, I was so excited. I am grateful for everyone, and we have received such a positive response with the music video. My good friend Gage Wayne, he directed it, and made it amazing. I am so grateful it all came together beautifully.

Do you currently have any other music projects in the works?
Yes, I have demos for some new songs, and Comanavago did it again. They sound so amazing. They are always sending me demos and being like, let us know if you want us to alter anything. I’m like, I love it! Literally, everything they send me is amazing. They are so talented.

What about acting? You have appeared in a couple short films and several commercials. Anything upcoming?
I really want to. I am looking to get more into it, and I am looking for more opportunities. There is a horror movie that I might be in soon. We are planning it and I am helping write it, so that might be a really cool thing. I definitely want to get more into acting as soon as possible.

You have been collaborating a lot with PrideHouseLA on TikTok. How much fun is this for you, and how beneficial do you believe PrideHouseLA has become?
They are such an amazing group of people who have become some of my best friends. I love them so much. They are so welcoming. Because I am a psychic medium, some people can be skeptical and it is hard to make friends in this industry, but they were so welcoming of me, stuck by my side, and helped me come out as pansexual. They gave me the courage and showed me that it’s okay. It’s fine to be different and love who you want to love. Express it to the world. They have this amazing message and I feel like they have helped a lot of people come out, like Jojo Siwa. They really are spreading acceptance for the LGBTQ community.

I am so happy you mentioned being a psychic medium because I am a paranormal enthusiast and love your content on ghosts, hauntings, etc. When did you discover you were a medium and could connect with spirits?
I have been a psychic since I was little. It actually runs in my family, which I recently found out. My cousin and sister also have abilities, but I would always have premonitions of the future and always just know things about people, know what was going to be on TV the next day, or know certain little things. Then I would always feel spirits and know they were there, but I was terrified of them. Like, I was so scared. I tried to block that part out because I knew they were there, but I didn’t understand it. The family members who really had these abilities passed on before I was born.

One of them, I have seen my entire life. He is this man who I would see in the mirror or in the background behind me, wearing a brown suit and glasses. I never knew who he was, but then my friend Amanda, she sees spirits like people, and she got his name for me. She’s like, do you know who Lenny is? I didn’t know who that was, so I asked my mom, and she’s like, that’s your great grandpa. He died before you were born. I saw a picture of him and immediately pointed him out. Like, that’s him. That is the man I keep seeing.

So, I have always kind of had it, but I just started getting really into my mediumship during COVID. I feel like everyone was finding new things about themselves, and we all had a lot of time, so I got more into it and found out that I can connect with these spirits and see them. I blocked it out so much before, but now it has changed my life. I have done so many readings for people. It is part of me, and it always will be.

When you say you can block out seeing spirits, are you saying you can turn your ability on and off like a light switch?
Sometimes I can, but some spirits are very adamant, and I can’t block them out no matter how hard I try. My psychic visions and stuff, that is just part of me. That is what I know as normal.

Do you have a That’s So Raven moment when you get a vision? Is that how it works?
(Laughs) I don’t make my eyes all big, but honestly, it is sometimes kind of like that. There was this one time when I was on a plane, and I just got this image, like a flash, it was scary, of my mom and sister on fire. When we took off, our plane engine caught on fire, and we had to emergency land the plane. So, it’s little things like that when I do the Raven thing.

You don’t want to see those kinds of images while on a plane!
Not at all! It was like Final Destination. It can sometimes be mortifying.

Is your great grandfather the first spiritual encounter you ever had or was there someone else?
I feel like he is the first. Like I said, I have seen him since I was little, and I believe is like a spirit guide or something. I truly feel like he helps me with a lot of things. Then there is Lola, my haunted doll. She is big on TikTok, and she kind of started showing me herself and show me what I can see. She really helped me understand that I can connect with spirits. I don’t see them in person, but I get images of them. They will show me where they are standing in the room, what clothes they are wearing, or how they died. When Lola started helping with that, I was like, what is this? How am I seeing all this?

Some of your most popular videos feature Lola. Can you tell us her story and how you came in possession of the doll?
It was weird. I was driving one day, and I had this epiphany of really wanting a haunted doll. It was just weird. Who the hell thinks of things like that? So, I went on eBay that night, and there was this woman, Fire Torch Findings, she collects a bunch of haunted items, and she had Lola. I saw her picture, and I feel energy through photos. I always have, and I would like to go through picture books and stuff, but when I saw Lola, I just loved her energy in that photo. I clicked buy without reading anything about her. I told my friends that I got a haunted doll, and they’re like, what’s her story? I was like, don’t know (laughs).

We found out later upon different mediums helping me out and my abilities and experiences, she did not like to be recorded at first. She would actually glitch a lot of people’s phone cameras, mine as well. She got upset with me, but we found out that she was born in 1901 and passed away in 1919, kind of during the Spanish Flu era. We think she got pneumonia or something with her lungs caused her to pass away. We think it was from the Spanish Flu, maybe a symptom or something like that, but she really is the sweetest spirit. She’s like Casper, the friendly ghost. My roommates have had a lot of experience with her, and my boyfriend was super skeptical of ghosts, but he saw her standing in my room. He ran up to me and explained exactly what she looked like and everything.

Is Lola’s spirit physically inside the doll, or is she just attached to the item?
Her spirit is attached to the doll, and I think she found it. It looks a lot like her. The hair, everything, and I think she just really liked the doll because it reminded her of herself when she was alive. I think that is kind of her way to stay here because she died so suddenly, and she is not ready to move on to whatever else.

Have you run into a fair share of dark and evil spirits?
Yes. I have almost been possessed, so that sucked. I started getting into crystals and a lot more protection after that because I was just kind of testing everything out, and them my friend and I opened two dybbuk boxes. That was not very smart. There were human teeth in it, and all of a sudden, my body just got so hot. I started dry heaving, blacking out, and getting angry. I was kind of iffy about possession until that happened. I have definitely had my fair share of demonic entities. I kind of know how to protect myself now and tell them to shoo.

You also like to visit and explore haunted locations. Which has been your most haunted and most terrifying?
Probably the Gate of Hell in New Jersey when I almost got possessed. The Clown Motel in Tonopah, Nevada was also pretty terrifying. There was a chair that literally got tossed over. There was a very angry spirit there that kept messing with us and throwing things. We kept hearing something that sounded like rocks everywhere. Like, where is this coming from? We thought someone was messing with us, and then the chair flew. It’s crazy because I get it all on camera. If you don’t believe me, I got it on camera!

Is there a location you would love to visit?
I would love to go out of the country. There is this village in Japan called Nagoro, and it is, like, a town of dolls. When this woman’s father passed away, she made a doll that looked like him, and she started making dolls all throughout the town. So, the town is all dolls, and she replaced deceased loved ones with these dolls as well. I also want to go to the Island of Dead Dolls. I don’t know what’s up with me and dolls (laughs).

What do you say to those who do not believe in the paranormal and believe it is just a hoax?
Honestly, it’s experience. If you experience it, I feel that is when you start believing in it, but also respect other people’s beliefs. If you don’t believe in it and think it’s a hoax, I always say, keep an open mind to anything. I don’t know everything about the whole paranormal world, and I don’t think many people do. Some people say they know everything, but they don’t. So, keep scrolling if you really don’t believe and really don’t want to watch it instead of commenting or assuming this is fake. Respect me, and I will respect you. That’s it.

You have now made it your mission to connect people with their deceased loved ones. Do you have a story that is most memorable?
I have connected so many people, but one of my most memorable ones is with my roommate’s friend. I was on FaceTime with my roommate giving her readings and stuff, and there was this ghost in her house. I was kind of connecting with him and telling her what happened to him, then she introduced me to her friend who lost a few friends of his at a young age. I started connecting with this one spirit, and he was sitting next to me. He was telling me a lot of things, and this guy was already like, oh my God, he’s here, but the icing on the cake was when I started to explain what he was wearing.

He was wearing this big green bomber jacket, skinnier jeans, a T-shirt, and converse shoes. My roommate’s friend started to cry when I said green bomber jacket, and I was like, what? He was like, oh my God, one second. He pulls out this picture, and it’s his favorite picture of a friend who passed, and he is wearing that exact green bomber jacket. The exact same one. The spirit also told me his favorite type of weed was Lemon Haze, and his friend freaked out saying, yeah! The little details you pick up, it’s so crazy. They are not just general details. They are that specific. So, that was a pretty crazy one to me.

As an entertainer and psychic medium, what more do you hope to accomplish with your platform?
I just want to make sure people know that you can be your authentic self, no matter who you are or what abilities you have. I just want to make sure that people feel safe with this platform, and I want to build this community where people feel safe to come and share their ghost or LGBTQ experiences. Any kind of experience. I spend hours moderating my comments and deleting negativity. Not because it really bugs me, but I want a positive community. I feel like negativity attracts negativity, and I just want to make a safe place for people to come to.
