Today! PRIDE Job Fair at Civic Center Park

Hundreds of LGBTQ job seekers can meet with dozens of prospective employers at the first PRIDE Job Fair on Tuesday, May 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the McNichols Building in Denver’s Civic Center Park. The job fair is part of a series of workshops designed to encourage inclusive workplaces organized by The Center on Colfax, the most prominent LGBTQ community center in the Rocky Mountain region, in partnership with Denver Workforce Services.

“I am thrilled to see so many organizations across the business, nonprofit and government sectors demonstrating their commitment not only to serve and support the LGBTQ community but their investment in recruiting and hiring talented LGBTQ people to join their organizations,” says Johnny Humphrey, Director of Inclusivity Services at The Center on Colfax.

“And for those LGBTQ job seekers that have been searching for the opportunity to work for an inclusive organization, the ‘PRIDE Job Fair’ is where you can connect with employers that value and respect you for being your authentic selves.”

The job fair will feature over 35 employers including Amazon, Denver Botanical Gardens, United Airlines, and more. With careers in various industries, LGBTQ applicants with any skill set will find job opportunities.

“We are proud to partner with The Center on Colfax to promote and showcase our available roles at their PRIDE Job Fair and on their PRIDE Job Board,” says Trevor Freel, senior talent acquisition manager at Pinnacol Assurance.

“Job fairs and job boards that are dedicated to inclusive recruitment allow companies like ours to increase talent pools by reaching out to underserved and underrepresented communities. When we expand our outreach, we can bring the most qualified talent into the organization. Pinnacol’s recruitment team is committed to leading an inclusive recruitment strategy, and it’s stronger with partners such as The Center on Colfax.”
