Party Hardy for the Kids

Liver Failures for CharityCome do some good while grabbing drinks with sexy soccer players. The Goal Miners and Denver Coed Soccer are throwing a party on October 18, 8:00 PM at the Squire Lounge. It’s a Saturday night and if you’ll be drinking anyway, why not help out the little ones while doing it? There’s no cover charge.

We are excited because we feel it’s time for us to do some outreach and help the community and not just be a sports club asking bars to subsidize their recreation with sponsorships,” says Brian Coulthard, a spokesperson for the event. I think we can do some good, show the world the gays actually make the world a better place, build community relationships that are mutually beneficial, and have fun doing it along the way. That and we’ll be drinking with our friends and having a good silly time.

The more we drink, the more we donate to Denver Children’s Home, Colorado’s oldest non-profit organization. The DCH works to help struggling families and children affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, trauma caused by violence, and kids who suffer from disabilities and mental health problems. DCH has been servicing the community for 138 years.

The event is emceed by notable drag queen Jackie Summers,” Brian says. Two folks from our club (both were in the Out Front sexy soccer spread) are doing a couple drag numbers. Keegan is going as Sha’dynasty, and Mariella is going as Jesus Cristo. We also have two DJs spinning for the night.

The Denver Children’s home is a great community organization to support, and there isn’t an easier or more fun way to raise money than by taking lots of shots. So let’s cheers to helping Colorado’s most vulnerable kids.
