As Rodney Sumter recovered from the three times he was shot at Pulse, resulting in two broken arms and a badly injured back, a football icon stopped by to pay him a visit. Old high school classmate Tim Tebow, the praying quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner, stopped by for a surprise visit.

Tebow and Sumter played football together at Nease High School in Ponte Vedra, Florida before Sumter moved on to play wide receiver at Jacksonville University and Tebow became an internet sensation.

My high school quarterback left the Bahamas to come and see me. Tebow has always been an awesome person.

Meanwhile, Imagine Dragons and Nate Ruess, from Something Corporate and Fun!, headlined a special concert last night benefiting victims of the mass shooting at Pulse. Held at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, the All is One Orlando Unity Concert benefitted the OneOrlando Fund, which assists survivors and families of victims of the attack, raising $700,000.

“We felt like we needed to come together to get behind this cause,” said Ben McKee, bass guitarist for Imagine Dragons, told WESH.
