One Colorado’s 2024 Prism Awards

Join One Colorado on October 5 at the Denver Art Museum to celebrate the Prism Awards! Hosted each year by the aforementioned activist group, the Prism Awards highlight the excellence and innovation in the Colorado LGBTQ+ community. The group has made substantial moves in mobilizing the LGBTQ+ community in Colorado, and aims to “amplify inclusive and intersectional work.”

The guest speaker this year will be V Spehar, creator of Under the Desk News. V’s insights into current events, politics, and societal ills will bring a distinctive voice to the night, truly highlighting what the Prism Awards are about. Their speech will highlight the progress made towards equality and inclusion, while providing an important perspective on the issues at hand. V Spehar is best known for their short form video coverage of news events, especially regarding the LGBTQ+ community and politics. They can be found on Instagram and TikTok.

One Colorado is still looking for sponsorships and volunteers for this event. To become a sponsor, please look at their sponsorships page, where many different tiers are offered. The sponsorship offers visibility for your organization as well as the chance to support One Colorado in their mission for equality and community. There is also a silent auction to raise funds for the event, and tickets are on sale now. Enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, a hosted bar, speeches and short videos about the recipients. After the awards ceremony, take in the pavilion at the Denver Art Museum, alongside dessert and a champagne toast. The 2024 awards recipients are Andrea Gibson, charlie amaya scott, Jesse Daniels, and Parasol Patrol.
