OFM got the chance to attend Parcel’s only North American show this year on Monday at Red Rocks. Berlin-based band has grown popular over the years and has finally made it to the rocks. Whistler Molly Lewis, opened the show, hailing from the same hometown as the headliners, Byron Bay. She amazed the crowd with her pipes and her humor, interacting with others in the crowd who were whistling with her.

They donned the stage to see a sold out crowd of people, mentioning that they have started to see some familiar faces. While the band was brining the energy to the Rocks, no one could beat the crowds’ dancing and singing along. At one point the audience took over singing. They sounded like a well-rehearsed choir as the band looked up to take it all in.

Parcel’s work with Daft Punk has very clearly influenced their current songwriting, as each song is even more groovy than the next. After playing their hit “tieduprightnow,” the band stripped it down to their roots, playing in their pre-fame busker style. They graced the crowd with a moving cover of Wheatus’s “Teenage Dirtbag.” We hope this is not the last time we see Parcels in Denver!
