OFM Gallery: No Vacation and Luna Li at the Bluebird Theatre

OFM had the chance to see No Vacation with support from Luna Li at the Bluebird Theatre on April 23. The dream pop band was formed in San Fransisco in 2015 and consists of members Sabrina Mai, Marisa Saunders, Nat Lee, Rob Mills, and Harrison Spencer. Its sound can be best described as beach rock with a nostalgic feel combined with a danceable and upbeat tempo.

The band released its first album Amo XO in 2015 featuring hits like “Beach Bummer” and “Lovefool.” It released single “Yam Yam” and “Mind Field” in 2017 followed by an EP, Intermission (2017). The show did not disappoint, and the band had the crowd dancing all night as they opened with “Sad Valentine” and played hit tracks like “Estrangers,” “Mind Fields,” and some newer singles like “How” released in 2023.

Overall, the show was another unforgettable night for the Denver alternative indie scene, and the crowd was left screaming for more as they closed out the show with one of their most notable hits “Dream Girl.”
