OFM Gallery: Kim Petras at Fillmore Auditorium

OFM had the pleasure of seeing Kim Petras’ Feed The Beast World Tour at the Fillmore Auditorium on November 8. The pop star’s show was split into five iconic sections built upon the story of Dante’s Inferno. Each one represented her different releases including Feed The Beast, Slut Pop, TURN OFF THE LIGHT, and more. Petras is an LA-based German singer and songwriter who has been releasing catchy dance-pop hits since 2016.

Kicking off the show with her Feed The Beast portion, the audience went crazy as she emerged from an iron vessel wearing a knight in shining armor-esque outfit opening with her song “King of Hearts.” Her Slut Pop portion featured Petras and her dancers in business attire as they strutted down the stage with briefcases in hand singing hits such as “Slut Pop,” “XXX,” and “Treat Me Like A Slut.” Her energetic choreography and stage presence was contagious, and her set was truly iconic!

This past year, Petras made music history with her Grammy win for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance alongside Sam Smith’s for their single “Unholy”. This is a huge stride for the LGBTQ+ community making her the first openly transgender woman singer to take home a Grammy. Overall, she delivered a jaw-dropping performance that left Denver screaming for more!
