OFM Gallery: Glitterfox at Lost Lake
In case you missed it, Portland based indie rock band Glitterfox dropped by Lost Lake on Tuseday. The show was opened by two local Colorado acts, Heather Hunt and C∆L∆MITY!
Glitterfox, fronted by Solange (they/them), was full of energy from the start of their set. The blend of Americana soul and dreamy vocals mix together to create the perfect dancing environment. Crowd favorite songs “Kentucky Nights” “La Da Da” and “Married to the Ground” had everyone singing along side their swaying. This band feels familiar to the Denver music scene, with their lyrics showcasing moments of their own queer experience.
In addition to their own tunes, they played a killer cover of Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know” while Solange popped off stage to dance with the crowd. While they were in the audience guitarist, Andrea Walker, and bassist, Eric Stalker, got to take center stage to riff with each other while drummer, Blaine Heinonen, continued to keep the beats going. If you missed their show, make sure to stay tuned to socials to see them next time they roll through Denver.
