OFM Gallery: Fiddler on the Roof

If you haven’t yet seen Fiddler on the Roof, you should definitely change that the next time the show comes to town. Though the Broadway tour was only in Denver March 14-19, the magic of the extensive set and gorgeous costumes made it seem like something that had been staged at the theater for months.

As the press release explains, “Fiddler on the Roof takes place in the tiny town of Anatevka, set in Tsarist Russia in 1905. The story depicts the main character, Tevye, in his attempts to maintain his religious convictions, and at the same time adapt to the shifting society and external pressures. The play shows this through his relationship with his daughters who, despite tradition, each selects her own husband!”

This show is more relevant than ever as the world continues to change, yet intolerance persists. But if you missed it, don’t be too bummed—You can still grab tickets to Anastasia when it comes to Denver April 14-16.
