NoCo Pride March Set for May 31
Rain or shine, Fort Collins is starting off Pride with their sixth annual NoCo Pride March staring at 5 p.m. May 31 in Old Town Square and it is being hosted by NoCoSafeSpace and SPLASH Youth.
Given the onslaught of Anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and the upcoming election, showing up and showing your support for the queer community is more important now than ever. There are many ways you can show your support and share your voice—and marching during Pride is affirming to queer folks and ensures the rights that have painstakingly been fought for are not lost or overturned.
NoCoSafeSapce invites “all ages and mobilities” to join the march and support “visibility, equity, and justice” for everyone in the queer community. Organizations, businesses, and agencies that have registered for the event will also be showing their support for the community.
NoCoSafeSpace says the march with focus on “Queer and Trans youth and LGBTQIA+ individuals of color, emphasizing their voices and experiences in our messaging.”
The nonprofit also states, “While the march is a peaceful, family-oriented event, we acknowledge and remember the origins of Pride as a protest against the historical harsh and often fatal treatment of our community by various institutions.
Our march not only celebrates our progress but also honors the resilience and bravery of those who came before us. This Pride march is a trans-affirming event, intentionally inclusive of transgender and nonbinary youth, adults, and seniors, ensuring this space is a safe and supportive environment for everyone.”

Whether you are an ally or a part of the LGBTQ+ community, join the sixth annual #NoCoSafeSpace #PrideMarch in Fort Collins to show your support for the community.
Kicking off at 5 p.m. in Old Town Square, join the march this Friday, May 31 to meet some new folks in the community, support your LGBTQ+ loved ones, uplift the queer community, and spread awareness and love.
