No thanks Universe, I’m good

No thanks Universe, I’m good

“No thanks, I don’t need any abundance right now.” Would it surprise you to know that if we are experiencing challenges in our prosperity it might be because this is what we have been saying to the Universe? I know, it sounds crazy. Why would I say that when what I really desire is more abundance, more prosperity in my life?

The answer lies in our languaging. And more specifically it lies in our negative self-talk.

During the course of the many conversations we have every day the most important ones are always going to be the conversations we have with ourselves. And, of course, those conversations are all based in our core beliefs. So every time I see an opportunity that presents a degree of risk taking and the little voice inside my head says, “That is too risky for you”, I send the signal that I am not interested in the benefits that I might derive from that risk when I allow that little ego voice to be the deciding factor.

Every choice we make in this life is either attracting more good or repelling it.

My experience is that we do way too much of either one simply by our passivity. By allowing life to continue as it always has without ever making any attempt at conscious change or ignoring the ego’s desire for the status quo and expanding my possibilities, I am constantly just attracting and repelling the same stuff – over-and-over-and-over-again.

In the great scheme of the Universal Law of Cause and Effect, I must always be attracting and repelling at the same time. If I am attracting more good into my life, then I am most certainly repelling that which does not look like my good. That’s great, but the exact opposite is just as true. The only way I will attract more good into my life is to practice new thoughts and behaviors that I design, or that my coach and I design, that have the specific purpose of creating a new set of results.

The old expression is, “Change your thinking, change your life.” It sounds pretty simple, doesn’t it?

Well, it can be, but the real truth is that you are seeking to change some core beliefs that have been a part of who you are for as long as you’ve been alive. The good news is that your conscious mind is capable of overcoming those old programs. The challenge is to use that conscious mind – all day, every day – to make choices that attract what you desire and repel what will not serve.

What thoughts are you choosing today?
