Mr. Leather Colorado places 4th at IML

Over Memorial Day weekend, the 33rd annual International Mr. Leather took place in Chicago featuring 53 men representing communities from the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Australia and South Africa. This process included three days of preliminary contests, interviews and the official IML contest where the top 20 were chosen to deliver speeches to a packed house. Over the past year, Mr. Leather Colorado and Out Front Colorado columnist Brent Heinze, has acted as the figurehead of the leather and kink communities in Colorado and represented the state in this year’s contest. Heinze received a standing ovation for his speech and placed fourth in this year’s IML competition. The IML winner was Eric Guttierez (Mr. Leather Europe, 2010), Douglas Pamplin (Mr. Mid-Atlantic Leather 2011) placed first runner up and second runner up was awarded to Anthony Rollar (Mr. San Diego Leather 2010).

Colorado Kink Fest 2011 events happen during Denver Pride weekend. The Mr. Colorado Rubber Contest and Mr. Leather Meet and Greet, take place from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday, June 17, at The Denver Wrangler, 1700 Logan Street. The Colorado KinkFest Vendor Fair happens at 12 p.m. – 4 p.m., Saturday, June 18 at The Compound (145 Broadway). Mr. Leather Colorado 2011 Contest is at 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the Sherman Street Event Center (1770 Sherman Street). Following the Contest will be the Mr. Leather Colorado Victory Party at 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. at the Denver Wrangler. l
