For those of us who can’t stay cooped up any longer, there is now some relief ahead. Bars and restaurants have entered the stage of modified operation, and as long as we all stay safe, practice social distancing, and wear masks, then we are free to roam for a bit. Here is a list of the queerest events in town going on this weekend!
If you aren’t ready to take the public plunge just yet, that’s OK, too! We have some queer af virtual options for you as well. Stay safe Denver, and we’ll see you out and about!
Friday
Tracks Denver, 5 p.m.
Get a group together and enjoy a bite and bevvy under the umbrella alleyway, just behind Tracks nightclub. By reservation only, enjoy tasty treats by RiNo Eats, and get your signature cocktails from your favorite Tracks Denver bartender. If the nightlife night isn’t your jam, try their brunch on Saturday and Sunday between 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Lipgloss, An Indie Dance Party, 8 p.m.
Join Lipgloss in celebrating its 19 anniversary of being the country’s longest-running indie dance party. Don your favorite mask and dance the COVID blues away with the finest indie rock and indie dance classics, both old and new, curated and exquisitely mixed by Lipgloss founder DJ Boyhollow w/ resident DJ Tower.

Gladys: The Nosy Neighbor, 9 p.m.
Join your neighborhood queer spot in celebrating its re-opening with the brand-new weekly series Power Hour. Enjoy all the shenanigans you love, and meet some new folks, all while sipping on two-for-one drinks from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The Triangle Denver, All night
Fridays are for tacos and tequila at The Triangle. Not quite feeling like you’re done practicing social distancing? Support local, queer spots, and grab some street tacos to go! Need to refill your margarita station at home? Let the folks at The Triangle send you home with a pitcher of their delicious mix, either frozen or on the rocks. Dine-in is available as well, inside and on the patio, in case you’re feeling like you can’t stay home one more night.
Saturday
Blush & Blu, 8 p.m.
JUICE: 2020 is a no-frills, anything-goes, everyone-welcome, no-big-deal, queer dance party. They’ll be spinning the hardest hitting hip-hop, R&B, trap, house, dancehall, and Reggae. Come celebrate what quenches your thirst.
Juice is a fourth Saturday dance party and event providing free tabling space to a rotating list of fantastic community vendors.
X Bar, All night
#partyonColfax with the socially distant new normal from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at one of the best patios in town. Reservations are strong recommended, as spots can fill up fast during the final weekend of Pride month. Feeling risky? They will try and accommodate walk-ups if possible.
Get your hands on one of the prized Pride Flamingos for just five bucks; proceeds go to a various Black- and trans-led organizations across the country. Currently at $2,020.00 in donations from Pride Weekend, their ultimate goal is to hit $5,000.00. Please help them make that happen by asking any staff member to grab you a Pride Flamingo.
“This month and every month before and after should be a constant reminder of the work that trans people of color have done for our community to even have Pride Weekends,” says the event Facebook page.
Sunday
Mile High Hamburger Mary’s is bringing brunch back with Dining with Dixie. This monthly feature will deliver performances from queens we all know, love, and have been following on Twitch since the quarantine began. Get ready for some sass from Brittany Michaels, Lola Gag, Lala J. Shearz, Ash Elder, and Curtes Bowden; sip on those delicious mimosas, and get whipped by those beats laid down by DJ Dazzle, Joe Salas.
The bear cave is delivering modified hours to keep this spot thriving all Pride month closeout weekend. Get your paws on something tasty at the Lincoln Street location!
