Man sends Drag Race updates to his friend who committed suicide

Monday is a joyous day. Sure you struggle through work because of the weekend, or you realize that you have four more days until the next weekend. But, in the early stages of spring and carrying over into the warmth of summer, Logo TV delivers something that rallies queer people together.

Yes, we are talking about RuPaul’s Drag Race.

To a lot of us queers, this show is ours. We talk about it. We obsess over it. We buy it on Amazon to watch in high definition. It’s a celebration.

This is also true for one tumblr user, xanderbliss.tumblr.com. His tumblr is filled with selfies showcasing his stunning tattoo portraits of queens from past seasons, but littered throughout is something much more heartwarming.

Xanderbliss lost his best friend just before season 7 to suicide. A friend who was captivated by drag and RuPaul’s Drag Race. So, after every episode xanderbliss sends a balloon into the sky with a small message about the eliminated queen to keep his friend Jonnie in the loop.

I WANT TO MEET ALL THE QUEENS BUT MOSTLY I WANT TO MEET BIANCA DEL RIO AND ADORE DELANO BECAUSE JONNIE LOVED THEM SO MUCH AND SO DO I.
