LGBTQ EDM Artist Rezz Releases New Single “Signal”

Canadian and LGBTQ EDM artist Rezz has just released her new single “Signal,” featuring Grabbitz, another rocktronic EDM artist. The new song comes from her upcoming EP, IT’S NOT A PHASE, which is set to be released later this summer.

This is not the first collab brought to us by Rezz and Grabbitz, as they blessed ears back in 2020 with their song “Someone Else.” The 2020 hit peaked at #1 and #10 on U.S. and Canada alternative radio charts while collecting over 40 million streams on Spotify.

“Signal” is a wonderful blend of sound from both Rezz and Grabbitz’s shared love for electronic and rock music. Combining emotional angsty with grungy tones, the song meshes their punk aesthetics together in a beautiful and alluring way. Both edgy and captivating, you can definitely pinpoint Rezz’s dynamic builds and haunting, mid-tempo drops while still identifying Grabbitz’s lyrical melody.

With the collaborative elements of rock and electronic music, “Signal” fortifies those nostalgic references and cross-genre moments that are present in Rezz’s soon-to-be-released IT’S NOT A PHASE EP. Rezz has an undeniably unique sound that draws inspiration from the punk bands of her teen years and modern EDM influences that have aided her in crafting her incredible sound.

Rezz spoke about the track, saying, “This second collaboration with Grabbitz confirmed that we need to make WAY more music together. It’s the perfect blend between punk and mid-tempo, and I couldn’t be more stoked. I think day-one fans will enjoy this, as well as new punk fans!”

Grabbitz added,”It’s hard to top the feeling that ‘Someone Else’ gives, but I speak for both of us in saying I think we did.”

Isabelle Rezazadeh, AKA Rezz, has shot to the top of the charts since her debut on Skrillex’s label OWSLA in 2015. Performing at festivals all over the world and selling out legendary venues, Rezz has compelled hundreds of thousands of fans with her originality and entrancing sound. Recently, she’s graced the cover of Billboard, earned the JUNO Award for Electronic Album of the Year for her Beyond the Senses EP, and in 2022 launched her own label imprint HypnoVizion.
