Laverne Cox Is Getting Her Own Wax Figure at Madame Tussauds

The title basically says it all. On June 26th to kick off San Francisco Pride, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum will unveil a wax figure of Orange Is The New Black actress Laverne Cox. This will make Cox the first trans person ever immortalized at the iconic museum.

Can she do anything wrong? Damn her.

When I think about being who I am, a black trans woman from a working class background raised in Mobile, Alabama, this honor feels even more improbable and extraordinary.
