Krampus to Return to 13th Floor Haunted House

Krampus: The Fright Before Christmas

Holiday festivities will take a bone-chilling turn this week when the highly anticipated Krampus returns to 13th Floor Haunted House this weekend. The devilish half-man half-goat himself will be awaiting all who dare enter the dark and twisted “winter horrorland” as described in a press release by Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group. Indeed the halls of the 13th Floor will be decked with baubles, garlands, and lights, but the spine-tingling scares are expected to be just as exhilarating as always.

In case that wasn’t enough, there will also be several other activities awaiting attendees. Whether it’s trying their hand at axe throwing, attempting to solve a thrilling escape game, or capturing a few spooky snaps with themed photo ops, event-goers will find no shortage of things to do at the event, as well as bars with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options for celebrating the most wonderful time of year.

And in the spirit of the season, 13th Floor will also be collecting toys for a toy drive to be donated over the holiday to Children’s Hospital, spreading joy to kids in need during the holidays. “Denver shows us so much support every Halloween season. It’s important to us to give back to our community and spread as much joy as we do scares,” general manager Nick Melton says. To be sure everyone who would like to contribute can do so, 13th Floor will also be accepting monetary donations via online for the drive.

Krampus originated in European folklore as a part of Pagan winter solstice celebrations. He and many other creepy Christmas creatures will be ready to haunt attendees this Friday through Sunday evening. 13th Floor Haunted House is located at 3400 E 52nd Avenue in Denver. The experience may be too intense for children under 12. Tickets start at $29.99 and are available here.
