JUST WATCH: The Front debut first episode in ‘New Deep South’

The Front’s new web series, New Deep South: Queer Youth” is striving to show the world what it means to be young, queer, and southern.

The first 12 minute episode, which hit YouTube on Tuesday, introduces us to a young, interracial queer couple living together in Jackson, Mississippi. The episode focuses on the couple’s yearning for a baby, and using the best resource at their disposal, Instagram. The episode also touches on the couples family background, how they met, and how one of them currently holds one of the most dangerous jobs in Jackson, a police officer.

It’s easy for us to forget that outside of our Colorado bubble, there are different cultures of queer people. Do yourself a favor and watch the first episode.
