Just Watch: Mika’s New Music Video “Good Guys”
Guess who’s back?!
Mika!
You remember him, right?
Well, the British pop star debuted the music video for his new single “Good Guys” this week, in which the out singer asks “Where have all the gay guys gone?”
But he’s not talking about just any gays, he is referring to many of his childhood heroes “dressed up in gold” who inspired him growing up, including David Bowie, James Dean, poet Walt Whitman, French writer Jean Cocteau, and songwriter Cole Porter. The gays that set the standard, and were essentially fearless.
Mika performs a somber routine with male and female dancers as he quotes Oscar Wilde, singing, “We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars.”
Mika’s fourth album, No Place in Heaven, comes out June 16. Watch the video below.
