J.K. Rowling Creates Organization to Remove Trans Rights

J.K. Rowling

J.K. Rowling, disgraced author of the Harry Potter franchise, is creating an organization dedicated to removing transgender people’s rights “in the workplace, in public life, and in protected female spaces,” according to The Advocate.

The bestselling author announced on Saturday in a post to X that she will fund the J.K. Rowling Women’s Fund (JKRWF) using her personal fortune, most of which she has accumulated through her Harry Potter franchise. The JKRWF “offers legal funding support to individuals and organizations fighting to retain women’s sex-based rights in the workplace, in public life, and in protected female spaces” which excludes trans women.

“I looked into all options, and a private fund is the most efficient, streamlined way for me to do this,” J.K. says. “Lots of people are offering to contribute, which I truly appreciate, but there are many other women’s rights orgs that could do with the money, so donate away, just not to me!”

“For Left-leaning women like us, this isn’t, and never has been, about trans people enjoying the rights of every other citizen, and being free …” J.K. via Instagram.

J.K. has previously used her over $1 billion net worth to influence legal cases she claims are “women’s sex-based rights,” which has been a long-standing dog whistle used by herself and anti-trans groups to exclude trans people from public places and reduce women to their genitals, according to The Advocate.

J.K. has also donated over $88,000 to For Women Scotland, an anti-trans group, after it lost its challenge to a Scottish law that recognized trans women as women in 2018. That decision was overturned last month, declaring that trans women aren’t considered women under the nation’s Equality Act.

Pedro Pascal, star of The Mandalorian and The Last of Us, criticized J.K.’s actions as serious “Voldemort villain shit” and referred to her as a “heinous loser.” To avoid fueling J.K.’s continued crusade of denying trans people their rights, Pedro told his followers to not “buy a single Harry Potter thing, ever.”

Consumers must stop supporting J.K.’s work including not watching the upcoming HBO Harry Potter series or visiting the Harry Potter attractions at Universal Studios parks.

“It’s time to tell these corporations that transphobia loses money,” Pedro firmly states.
