“I Am Michael” Makes its Sundance Debut Today
We all heard James Franco was doing a homosexual movie. We knew he would play a gay character alongside Zachary Quinto, but when a sexy threesome with Charlie Carver was announced we suddenly became even more interested, at least I did. Then we saw the sexy threesome in a photo, and suddenly “I Am Michael” jumped to the top of everyone’s (maybe just my) list of must see movies. Now after patiently waiting, “I Am Michael” is making its Sundance debut today.
The Gus Van Sant-produced biopic recounts the real-life story of gay magazine editor Michael Glazte (James Franco), who renounced his sexuality and became a poster boy for the “ex-gay” movement. Charlie Carver plays Tyler, who gets involved in a relationship with Michael and Bennett (Zachary Quinto) and is heartbroken when Michael rejects his homosexuality.”
Newcomer Justin Kelly directs “I Am Michael,” based on Benoit Denizet-Lewis’s New York Times Magazine article “My Ex-Gay Friend.”
“I Am Michael” doesn’t have a nationwide release date yet, but we will certainly keep you posted.
